Introduction to professional and sustainable floristry.
Join us throughout the seasons for a hands on introduction to professional floristry, our focus is on the contemporary application of traditional floristry allowing you to develop your own style.
Each month, as nature brings to us the best seasonal and Scottish grown flowers while late Winter transitions through Spring into the start of Summer, you will learn how best to work with each season to create unique floral art. Learning traditional time honoured techniques we will walk you through each element using demonstrations and hands on application, teaching the fundamentals of mechanics for your designs and developing your own compositional skills.
Alongside this course we will be standing with you on your creative journey to answer your questions and offer industry insight, our resourceful team will be with you every step of the way.
This course has been developed to allow you to grow in the process, hands on training will be given over two full days once each month, dates outlined below:
January 25th-26th
February 22nd-23rd
March 15th-16th
April 26th-27th
May 24th-25th
June 7th-8th
You will be welcomed into the studio from 10am - 5pm each day, allowing for an hours break for lunch where you can explore the beautiful and inspiring surroundings of Belladrum Estate where our studio is located.
Subjects covered will include: bridal bouquets, including gathered style and traditional, spiral techniques, hair flowers, boutonnières, large scale installations, archways, urns, table centres & tablescape styling.
We will end our time together with an editorial styled shoot with a professional photographer, creating images that you can add to your portfolio
All designs from Wild Gorse Studio will be produced sustainably and floral foam free.
